Traditional Production Of Lotus Powder
1,Grind the fresh lotus root, remove the lotus root, place it in a pulp machine or mortar, and add water to grind it into a pulp.
2. Wash pulp: the lotus root starch in a bag, bag down a cylinder or basin, rinse with clear water into the bag, flushed the edge stirring lotus root residue in bag, until the filter out water.
3,Bleaching: water the lotus juice from the water for 1 to 2 days and stir once a day. After being clear, remove the slag floating on the surface of fine lotus root, and removing the bottom sediment, then put in the middle of the batter in another container, with water dilute reprecipitation. Repeat 1 to 2 times until the lotus powder is white.
4. Drain the roast: after rinsing, precipitation of lotus root starch with a clean cloth bag well, with a rope sling, about half a day to drain (or keep clean plant ash bag into it suck water). When the water is drained, remove the powder from the lotus root, break it up into a mass of about 500 grams, air the powder for an hour or so, then use the knife to whittle the powder into thin slices. Continue to bake or dry the powder. The average powder rate is around 10%.
When making the lotus root powder, it should be noted that it is advisable to take the lotus root with the fresh root, and the more fine, the better, because the more fine the mill, the higher the powder.
